Still Life by Dani Pettrey-book review

Still Life by Dani Pettrey recently came out. It’s the second one in the Chesapeake Valor series. I read the first one a few weeks ago, then got this one when it came out. It is just as good as the first one!

Avery Tate has a past she isn’t proud of. Now she is thrown right back into it… with Parker Mitchell, the first and last person she’d want with her.

After overcoming a difficult childhood, she finally makes it in the photography world, only to be blacklisted from taking one shot at the right moment. Now she will take a job with Parker, a crime-scene analyst who has a past of his own.

Parker is the best in his business. But when he meets Avery Tate, his whole world is rocked… again.

As they go through this adventure, Parker and Avery help each other overcome the past.

The writing style that this book was written with was so unique. Dani Pettrey weaves the ‘family and friends first, no matter what’ aspect into her books. Like all her characters, the ones in these books are strong. They are willing to take on anything, whether or not they feel like they can do it. Every character has one talent or job, big or small, that they add to the group to make it stronger.

With action and adventure, and mystery, this book can’t get any better.

My sister and Mom both read it and loved it. Kaitlyn has a hard time finding books that she can get into, but she read this one in less than four days.  I would recommend this book for anybody.

You can buy Still Life here on Amazon.

Anna received this book for free from Bethany House Publishing in return for her honest review.
