Made to Order Quesadillas

Years ago my brother bought us a Quesadilla maker. It’s one of those appliances we don’t use everyday, but it sure is nice for something fun once in a while. Today is Jeremy’s birthday and for lunch we had a make-your-own quesadilla party. Well, an introvert’s birthday party, as he would say. It was just the four of us and just what he wanted.

Here is a link to a Quesadilla maker. Mine is white and about 15 years old, but this red one looks pretty snappy.

Start with the basics:

Shredded cooked chicken (any shredded meat will work)

Shredded cheese

Tortilla Shells

Then add whatever else you like: bacon bits, hot sauce, other meats, roasted vegetables

To Do: Place a bottom tortilla shell on Quesadilla maker, build quesadilla, add top tortilla shell, close Quesadilla maker and let the magic happen. It will take about 3 minutes to a perfect Quesadilla.

Toppings: bacon bits, lettuce, sour cream, salsa, black olives, guacamole, hot sauce
