The kitchen is the heart of the home, right? It’s true in this home. I just love my kitchen and equally love spending time in it. NOT buying more appliances, gadgets, dishes or anything else that belongs in a kitchen is a test of self-discipline for me. However, there are a few goodies that are my go-to almost everyday. Here they are:

These measuring bowls from The Pioneer Woman Jeremy and the girls bought me for Christmas last year. I use them for everything from measuring to eating Yonanas and ice cream in.

This Omelet Pan my grandmother bought me years ago. It’s great for omelets, stirfry, sauteing anything, browning onions, homemade potato chips. It conducts heat well. An all around great pan to have. (I didn’t realize the price on this….I hope she found it on sale!)

This Paula Deen Rooster Cookbook stand I bought in the Smokey Mountains last year as my souvenir. I use this for cookbooks, decoration and for sign holding at events.

This Wire Basket I found at a flea market a few years ago for a couple of dollars. I keep eggs in it in the fridge. DSC_0125

The small, white cake stand my grandmother bought me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I use it for cakes, desserts, serving and keeping my sponges and soaps on it near the kitchen sink. Here is a link to the dishes that go with the cake stand but I’ll be darned if I can find the cake stand anywhere on line. DSC_0115This little paring knife is the best knife I have. My grandmother, mom and I all have at least one. They are fantastic. DSC_0111This Maine shaped cutting board made from Bamboo my mom bought for me last Christmas. There are other state options here. DSC_0103The Ninja. It was a hand-me-down from friends. We use this for blending, making smoothies, chopping ice for icees, sauces, frappacinos. DSC_0105This mortar and pestle my mom bought me last year. We use it to make sauces, grind fresh garlic and other herbs. DSC_0110

And my absolute favorite thing….these potholders Kaitlyn and Anna made for me. DSC_0106
