Cream Cheese Glaze

This glaze is a nice alternative to Cream Cheese Frosting. It’s still pretty sweet, but the taste of the cream cheese still comes through.

Ingredients:

16 oz. cream cheese

1 stick softened butter

3-5 cups confectioners sugar (depends on the consistency you prefer)

1/8 cup milk (more if needed, but add 1 tsp at a time)

To Do:

Mix all ingredients (using a mixer) together until you get desired consistency. I mixed mine for about 5 minutes. That time frame gave it a nice smooth, pourable texture and shine typical of a glaze.

Tips: To use on a two layered round cake, place bottom layer on cake platter, or whatever dish you will serve the cake from. Pour about 2 cups in middle of cake and spread until it drizzles down the sides. Place next layer of cake on top of bottom layer and repeat. Chill or eat right away.
