30 Days of Fall! Day 2-Easy Homemade Potpurri

IMG_1986

My mom has made this potpourri for as long as I can remember. Every fall she brings the smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves into the house. It’s the benefit smell of baking with none of the cleanup.

In a kettle add each of the following:

4 cups of water

4 cinnamon sticks

1 tbsp nutmeg

1 tbsp whole cloves

1 tbsp Craisins (optional: this really only adds color, not any smell)

1 tsp ground cloves

Simmer this mixture on low. It will last for a couple of hours. If the water gets low, simply add more and continue to use the potpourri.

Happy Smelling!
