Can I Sleep on Your Floor?

A busy day has ended. The week ahead is freshly making it’s way to the horizon. Meals have been shared. Friends have been visited. Jesus has been worshiped. Hugs goodbye and kisses goodnight have been shared.  Each has gone their separate way today only to make the way home again to reconnect under one roof.

The roof covers a simple place, ours, filled with people and things we love. Reminders of why we do what we do and who we do it for.

A common gathering place at the end of a busy day.

Mom, can I watch one more?

Mom, I’m going to bed. Goodnight. I love you too.

Mom, can you hug my puppy?”

Mom, can I sleep on your floor?”

“Do you need affection tonight?”

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”
